In autumn, it produces purple-black cherries and the foliage turns a magnificent reddish purple. The Purple Leaf Plum Hedge is an ornamental hedge that is especially valued for its hardiness and unique coloring. It is an asset to the landscape and a standout specimen shrub. Grows 6-8 feet tall. You can't beat this radiant Pink Honeysuckle for a tall screen of background hedge. It is quite hardy, disease-resistant, and gives year round beauty. In mid-May it bursts into a mass of dashing pink flowers with deep golden stamens. Later, brilliant red berries appear that last all summer and throughout the winter. This variety is vigorous and dense-growing. The flowers have same fragrance as honeysuckle vines. Reaches 8-10' and can be trimmed to 6-8'.
